Reflections arts program

The Reflections Arts Program is an annual National PTA arts contest. Each year the program has a different theme. The theme for 2020-2021 is “I Matter Because”. Students can enter works related to the theme in a number of categories: dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, visual arts, and special artist (for students with special needs).

Judging

Once a student enters the contest in a given year, it is judged at the school-level. At AFMS, all student participants are invited to a Reflections Awards Celebration Breakfast, where the school-level winners are announced. From there, the top entries are submitted to Wake County for county-level judging. Top entries at the county level may then move on to state- and national-level judging.

AFMS PTA is proud to offer the Art Reflections Contest this fall.  Original works of art in the following categories can be submitted electronically for local judging and county/state recognition:
Dance
Film
Music
Literature
Photography
Visual Arts

All AFMS students are welcome to participate. Due to CoVid, students must submit their entries on line following the guidelines outlined in the following link: https://ncpta.org/index.php/programs/reflections-arts-program/

Deadline for submission is NOVEMBER 18th.
